Popped down to Swan Park this afternoon in Co. Donegal, was a bland cold day but the leaves managed to brighten the day up, quite hard taking photo's when you have a boisterous 11 week old boxer puppy attached to your waist though!!!

As always C&C's would be most welcomed Grin

Of your 4 images, Lou, I really like V 1 the best. Use of the f/g stonework as a frame to channel one's eyes into the shot and along the river works very nicely, and you have captured the seasonal colours along the banks beautifully, the autumn shades contrasting nicely too with the greens on the stonework itself.
Ronnie.

4 fine shots, Lou. If I had to choose I'd pick V3, I think it's the strongest, and especially with the wall's diagonal as the foreground.

As for tips on improving, the first would be to leave the dog at home, or attach it to the hubby-to-be !

I've found I've been doing quite a lot of messing about with the D90's settings, especially the Picture Control for extra Vividity-ness !

Lol H2B was working and the wee puppy's only just allowed out so it was her first proper walk, couldnt leave her at home, I must look into this picture control malarky, so far i've just been pushing myself to get out of auto mode, most of the water shots were shot on M on the bulb setting so it was a little bit trial and error, but I'm getting there, it'll take a while to figure out what all the camera can do, but its officially amazing Grin
