Hey guys, I shot this the other mornin, i was having serious difficulty with the light and i know this is seriously underexposed, but when I saw it I thought it kind of worked, so I thought I'd throw it up here for you guys, I know its not the best shot, i just haven't sussed how to take good shots at direct sunlight, even though in this shot the sun wasnt quite past the mountain, the sky was a truely fab colour though, and I liked the reflections of the clouds on the water, I would be very grateful for help on this type of photo

I think it has worked rather nicely, the saturated colours of the sky beautifully recorded and the exposure throwing everything else into silhouette. You also have some lovely reflections in the water. I'd say there's not much wrong with this, Louise.

I agree with Ronnie AG, not much wrong here!
When i take sunset/sunrise shots i use AV mode and set the exposure to under expose which sometimes throws the landscape is silhouetted but it really brings out the colours in the sky (paticularly when the sky is very bright) Smile
Thanks very much for your personal message.
Really appreciate your kind words Smile
Best regards Ricky.
