This is a nice portrait shot Lou, I have only just started taking these type of pictures myself, I find the background a little distracting, but I like the lighting, really helps bring out your daughters lovely features, well done, and nice work with the eye.

great shot. i find the shadow around the side of her head a tad to much other wise spot on.

I think it could be improved if you crop away some of the LH side and adjust the levels to get a touch more contrast. I also can see one blue eye and one red one.

Nice portrait shot, the lighting on the face looks spot on, try a lamp or off camera flash from the side as well, this should remove the unwanted shadows.

What a lovely model your daughter makes. I liked the selective colouring on the eye, but found the background a little distracting.

EDIT: Just seen the "mod" by Mikearty, which I think is good, it's given your image a more dramatic look having taken out the background.
