I personally thnink the sky needs the space in this photo. The sky is a magnificent feature to me.

I think its great, a really splendid scene, perhaps a little levels adjustment to the land but as the obvious feature is that tremendous sky it is minimal by comparison.

I like big skies and this is a great big sky :].Lovely shot. Is it 'leaning' a bit to the right ?. I have 'problems' with sloping horizons so maybe it's just me!!.
Cheers,
John.

i think that you've done a great job, you've captured depth, a focal point and above all the wonderful sky, well done

yeah the sky makes the shot for me but agree with porty, maybe straighten the horizon.

Thanks for the comments. I can assure you that the horizon (the stretch of open sea at far right) is level. The original was sloping slightly to the left and it was corrected with Photoshop and checked with grid lines superimposed. The illusion of a tilted horizon is caused by the shape of the coast.

Just came across this - a majestic cloudscape. The FG looks a wee bit soft and I'd be tempted to be even more severe and lose half of the strip of land from the bottom. Awesome shot
