Just back from two weeks trekking in East Greenland. After a week on the mainland we crossed to Angmagssalik Island and were dropped off near this beach, strewn with stranded icebergs which had melted into all sorts of fantastic shapes. We had a great time among the most tremendous scenery and (mostly) good weather. The D70 performed faultlessly despite being cold and damp at times. Now sifting through 800 photos!

Thanks for the comments folks.
John (shania) - yes it was a beach at the estuary of a river.
Jany, Anthony, borisv - just preparing some to put on my website, will let you know when they are posted (at least a week yet).
Flossie - "it feels cold and warm at the same time". Yes I know exactly what you mean! It got quite hot in the sunshine when there was no wind but as soon as a breeze sparang up I was piling on the layers as the air temperature was just a few degrees above freezing.
Funny looking sand Vince!
Cracking shot - like it a lot. You use a polariser on this or not?
Cheers,
James
