i agree, its a pleasant enough scene well catured and nicely balanced with grads. the colours are nice and the focus is as it should be
the left hand boat is maybe a little close to frame but i can accept that it was there and there is little can be done.

overall i feel the position chosen is possibly a little unimaginative and has been taken from an obvious pov without any real lead in or diagonal approach to the form and shape within the composition.

probably the best format for this would be a panoramic with a little less water in the lower part of the frame

A good enough image and lots of quality, but also lots of featureless water, and therin lies your problem. A bit too much nothing, requiring quite a bit off the bottom, but better, zooming in more on detail, such as the boats.
