Garrath came back home today and so I have had time to get on my computer and do a 'proper' big post of 15 shots from our trip to Beautiful Birmingham in November. It really is an enchanting and dynamic city centre and I hope to give you a flavour of its wonderful architecture and atmosphere with this selection of 15 shots. The lead shot was chosen because this Birmingham landmark showed itself off beautifully thanks to the clear blue sky plus fantastic reflections of the landscape and the big wheel.
N.B. V7 was taken with the full permission of the subjects who were enjoying the magic of the German Market, apparently the biggest one in Britain and thoroughly enjoyable.
Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy at east some of them.

Haven't visited Birmingham since student days in the 1960s, it's improved! (There was plenty of room for improvement...) This set makes me want to go back.
Love V6.
Moira
Fascinating set and as ever with you, beautifully composed in every case. V6 is probably my favourite. Love the light, the simplicity of the composition and the amazing refections all cut so nicely into squares! V11 is rather special and really makes you think. Should have been featured on its own to my mind!
Ann
I have to hand it to you Lynne, you are very, very good
You have the skill to take the ordinary and turn it into the extraordinary WOW.
Top marks. It is good to have you back
Stunning captures in this set Lynne, I do like V11 the outsider, but all get my UA for today.
Regards
Trev.
So pleased to hear Garrath is home, now the real recovery starts Lynne - good luck both of you I hope all continues to go well.
great set of piccies, looks like the place to visit before Christmas
Well, Lynne, I didn't know it was your birthday yesterday - Many Happy Returns, sorry I'm a day late!
Now noted the date for future....
Can't say I've ever been to Birmingham, except for passing through on the train. A wonderful and varied collection of images here - it would be hard to pick a fave, so they'll all have to share my one vote I'm afraid! ![]()
Hope you had a great day ![]()

My birthday is today Trev (Dcember 7th, the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbour) and Status Quo tonight should make it a good one!
A very Happy Birthday to you Lynne, hope the concert is good.
I think you have too many good images in this one line up. I know it's your way but I like a few of them.
Dougie
Firstly, have a Happy Birthday, Lynne. Albert's card is beautiful.
Now, thanks for the tour, and you have spoilt us all for choice here, such different images in the series. My favourite is V13, it's just my cup of tea.

John
15 excellent captures with magic processing.
Well done. WesternRed.
So glad to hear your news....
V4 is my favourite of this really informative set
very interesting ! what a great set ![]()
6 , 10 and 13 I like best... and the selective colouring can't remember which!
A great and varied set of shots Lynne. Each one I opened became my new favourite, so can't choose.
Did find V11 quite sad, that guy really looks excluded from everything. Makes you stop and think.
Hope Garrath is doing well. Tell him I was asking for him please. Hope you are fine too. Moira
Wonderful set of images, beautifully captured.
Hugh

Thank you so much for the UA on the orchids, Lynne. Such a wonderful surprise.
This is one fantastic set you've put up. As always, each one one helluva shot, which is incredible for a 15-image upload!
Love what you've done in the last one, by the way ![]()
Andrew
