Another hand shot - this time I collared my Mum in her garden a couple of weeks ago in the early evening sun. Added photo edging in PS by scanning an old crinkled and damaged photo for the worn look and toned using Hue/Saturation.
Thanks for taking a look. Lyns x
Larger looks better if you have time
A beautiful study of hands.
This is so atmostpheric and so well photographed! There again I am bias, I love all your work.

A great shot and a really good bit of framing/editing to get that effect.
A fantastic piece of work Lyns, love it!!
Lovely sharp image, like the toning and really like the presentation - it makes it hang togther very nicely.
excellent work in both image and presentation
I was going to say that you need to change your washing-up liquid or at least start wearing rubber gloves .... then you said it was your Mum.
This is so clever Lyns. Love the distressed look and it really suits the image.
Another great image Lyns and well presented, I wondered how this type of worn photo look was achieved, so thanks for that. And yes I agree No.3 is a bit special.
Just B E A U T I F U L !!!
good B&W image - lots of contrast
Exceptional detail and tones!!
Congratulations on the R.C.!!!!
Another excellent high contrast shot Lyns. Great detail in the fingers especially around the knuckles, super lighting and very well composed. I love the old crinkled framing you have used which really emphasises the shot and the perfect title. Very well done and congrats on the RC award. BIG CLIK,
Just amazing, I really love your photos and this is no exception !
beautiful hands shot and a nice presentation.
Lynns beautiful work on this and her hands are hands that have touched, cared, loved, worked and held dreams and you captured and worked it perfectly!
Excellent shot Lyn's and I really like the way you have presented it.
Wonderful, Lyns ...

tonymarq - thanks especially for your very touchng comment, that's exactly what I wanted the shot to portray! Lyns x
Wonderfully effective shot, hands make a great photographic subject
A really beautiful piece of work.
Excellent piece of work Lyns, Happy to be #40.
works well Lyns! I love to see texture and the older generation have plenty of that. Good idea with the frame!!
This is wonderful. It is an old hand (forgive me for saying that) that looks as if it has lots of nice things to tell. Very well done, love this effect and the feeling it conveys.
Thanks Alan, dven, Mark & Dave for your kind comments. x
My Mum's hands are basicly an older version of mine, we have exactly the same hands only my Mum's fingernails are really white (naturally) which i always wanted. Mine are just plain old boring pink and like to peel and break frequently. Lyns x
Thanks Sandra for your lovely comment. Lyns x
Very well captured and presented, very effective piece of art!
Lovely shot and special after-work. Very nice too.
another great handshot..very well presented!Q
love the framing
Lovely image, great detail and feel. mike
You did a great job with this all around. Have a great time taking landscapes on your trip. It was 116F and our air conditioner went out for two days. The next day it was only 115 LOL!
Good work. We shall have to compare notes My only suggestion, and its something I need to work on as well, is the photo needs some grunge to match the frame.
This is amazing!
Well photographed. The presentation is also first class !
Beautiful hands, one of your best hand shots so far, I think. Well presented. Love it!
