A near full frame capture(a little cropped from sides to balance) of a juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) perching on a New Zealand Flax (Phormium tenax) flower in our garden. The leaves in the background are wisteria foliage. We have a number of GSW families visiting at the moment, all greedy for fat blocks!
