I use my camera as a sketch book. Being an artist first, I always perceive what I see through my view-finder, as a finished painting. Composition and lighting are paramount, after subject matter, for me. This has always been most important, to my own ends, as an artist. I employ as little effort as possible, in altering my original exposure, to maintain an interesting photograph.
