How long did this funny moment last, surely a split second; or
maybe a little longer.
Late Friday an ominous bang on the window; looked down and saw
a finch lying on the pavement; it moved but it was the strong ice cold
wind that played with the lightweight creature; running downstairs and
entering that freezer called outside I carefully lifted the little bird
and put it in a little box. Brought it inside thinking, maybe, maybe it is just unconscious;
but no, after an hour it lay there, already feeling a bit stiff. It's neck must
have been broken in a sad split second whilst flying with great speed
against matter invisible. Luckily misfortune happened so quick the bird had no
time to fret about it.
