A stock photo, well from my own stock; but this morning finally the cute title occurred to me enabling to post it. Turned the image to B&W as it does mask or eases, at least for me, a bit the fact of motion blur (too long a shutterspeed for focal length used); actually the image was also overexposed but I still like the vibrancy in the image. The elephants gathered to cross the shallow river (crocs in it); it is nice to see how the little ones seek proctection and get it from the elder. The elephant colonized the world from africa about the same time as we humans did. There is pretty much comparison between them and us. Their young ones are pretty helpless and naive when born and need a long time to grow up - establishing strong family bonds, they can even produce tears and seem to revisit places where relatives died. Even Aristotle was impressed by the elephant and proclaimed them the most wise among the beasts. If he included us under the beasts, I don't know. Anyway, would like to share it, despite its obvious faults, as it seems to tell the story I just tried to tell.
kind thanks for looking and appreciation
