It was the light creeping into the water at the top of the image that caught my eye, nice light & detail.

I like the rippled sand in the foreground and the pool of water taking the eye across the scene towards the groyne.....(maybe if you'd shown more of the groyne it may improve the picture, like on the '3rds' for instance and I think the picture needs a tiny amount of CCW rotation).....love the beautiful colours and tones...we don't have a coastline here in Wiltshire :-((

I like the simplicity, it really brings out the textures in the sand which is a great focal point leading you in to the rest of the image.

Great shot Maddie, love the textures of the sand. The sky tones and the reflective colour on the water makes a very pleasing image.
