Hard to find? I find that very hard to believe there are 20 down Ardrossan Harbour in Ayrshire. And on a nice sunny day you can see them sitting on the quay side soaking up the sun.

Loads of Guillemots breed on the cliffs at Crawton near Stonehaven. Not too sure if there are any like this one though. If you have never been there, then worth a trip sometime. At this time of year the cliffs are a heaving mass of Kittiwakes, Razorbills, Kittiwakes, Fulmars and right at the end of the RSPB trail, a few nesting Puffins. Am going to go up there sometime next week. Should be chicks now.

A cracking shot of this seabird, perfectly exposed to retain detail in both the black and white plumage, and the clear blue sea makes a great background
