Sanderling in summer rufous (breeding) plumage........

a little unusual for Sanderling in June but not unheard of (my last June record was 2009)

a rainy day with grey overcast, hence the high ISO and the sound of straining Elements 9 Wink

many thanks for looking in

maggie

i hva eno idea whether this is an off-camera image or a multi-layer photoshop job but i really do not care, in my opinion it combines a nature image with art due to it's softness / tones /depth etc

obv. a shame regards the bord in the right-hand background but i woul dstill hang on my wall with pride - one of the very best i have seen on here form some time (inc my own)

i wouldn't know how to 'multi-layer' it was just a single shot........
re the bird in right hand background..... thats just what they are like zipping about, very hard (and a very good dose of luck) to get a group of moving sanderling all in pleasing positions, but i agree with you Smile i may try to clone it out.....
thankyou, much appreciated very kind comments indeed!

Really nice pov. That blurry bird mentioned above could be removed as it to me look more like a person crouching down, - though I know its a bird! maybe I need new glasses...

regards
