A tribute to our wonderful family member - Julius. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to him this morning. He had been ill for the past year, and I knew this moment would eventually come, but that doesn't make it any easier as any pet-owner will understand.

He was such a character - a third cat, a third dog and a third human, and everyone who came into contact with him fell under his spell (even hardened dog-owners!!) A cat 'with attitude' as my neigbour called him.

I always found it difficult to take a piccy of him because as soon as I pointed a camera in his direction, he would walk over to me and spoil things! This is one of the best I have managed to get that really shows his gentle nature and will be framed to hang in our 'rogues gallery'.

RIP our 'Best Friend'

A lovely shot to remember him by, Maggie. When we lost our retriever we were all so upset, so I can sort of imagine how you are feeling.
Best wishes, Ronnie.

Thanks for your comments - he was indeed a 'cat in a million' (but I guess we all say that, don't we).

What a super image to remember him by. Having lost 5 ourselves over the years my heart goes out to you. If you have others they will be getting lots of extra cuddles. My thoughts are with you.

His eyes show his character - he looks like a gentle soul with a mischievious streak, with the confidence of knowing he is much loved.
