I am not too sure what this pretty flower is but I know there are plenty of flower experts on here that will know Smile

Many thanks to Julia, Annette and Keith for their very much appreciated UA's on my last upload and to all who voted and commented.

Also thanks once again for taking the time to look at this one.

I've just followed you with purple flowers and butterflies!!!
Sorry I can't name your flowers but what a beautiful image with the focus on one
and a lovely mass of purple in b/g.
Portrait format is perfect.

I don't think I've ever seen this flower, it certainly is beautiful. Lovely selective focus on the one in front Smile

This is a new flower to me too, but you have captured this cluster very nicely, using wide aperture to concentrate the eye on the lead player.
Very nice work, Gill.

And standing out it does---- This allium masses nicely and yet you have managed to set one stem aside--thus giving the viewer a glimpse of the massing as well as the individuals beauty--- done well with class!

A beautiful and so very refreshing floral composition with immense colour and detail. Great use of depth of field, whilst at the same time your image has been very well processed and presented Gilly.

I jumped for this as we had a similar wildflower here and I was hoping you knew the name ... Well I am still silly as this is civilised allium some garlic then but mine is a wild, intense tasting garlic and a bit rounder.
Enough banter. The DOF is perfect, gorgeous composition!
