One of the Scallop fishing boats of Tobermorey Grin

Quote: It will never be our intention to build large steel vessels to bring in scallops. Our boats will never fish 24 hours and each night, they stop fishing in the traditional manner. Although our boats are smaller than the large, modern steel scallop boats that work elsewhere, we are able to fish the scallop beds of Mull in a similar way to which they have been fished since the 1930s. With scallop beds showing sustainable yields year on year and with proper management we are proud to know that we can sustain a future on our shores for our children and grandchildren to come

Todaycast: Pale and dull.....another large retailer is going bust over here, so we're off to the 50% sale...when will it turn around? SadSad

What retailer has gone bust Jeff! Never been lucky to get a dry day in Tobermory, and also the last time I was there all the road in front of the shops were under repair and closed, so not a lot of room in the car park, nice to see some of our fishing fleet successful.

Regards

Trev.

A pleasing image, and one which works rather well, however I do feel that if you had moved further back or decreased your focal length you might have been able to capture the top section of the trawler "Just a thought mate"

Hannah & Browne....we tuend up just before 12 noon...and the queues outside were amazing...the whole shopping centre was chaotic.....they sold High end furnitur and TV equipment etc....so 50% off was an incredible saving...but they wanted cash only!!!

we left it to the needy!! WinkGrinGrin
