On our Easyjet flight into Marrakesh our pilot kind of missed the runway so we had to circle! Looking down I was struck by both the arid and the lush aspects of the terrain.
We went there for a special birthday in April 2011 so I decided I would take you there for a few days to show some aspects of Morocco! Apologies to any one who knows it well! Apologies also for the fairly naf image to get us there!

Opportunity well used, this is intriguing. It reminds me of patchwork, with everything so neatly placed. Do you know what the crops are?

How very neat. It reminds me of embroidery samplers we used to do at school. Smile

Considering you took this out of an aeroplane window, the clarity is magnificent! Very interesting geometric patterns. Well done!

The precision in these fields is amazing. A very fine areal shot.
The "kind of missed the runway" must have given you great confidence in that pilot!!!!!

A bit more water and this arid land would become lush, just like England Maggie.
A friend of mine and I were standing atop and hillside above loch Katrine and he told me about his niece on her first foreign holiday, like your flight, hers was coming in over a forrest and the little girl called out, "Mum Mum look at all the broccoli down there".

The compound is so very much at odds with its surroundings. Very interesting.
