We had been searching for olive trees to photograph. Someone directed us to this little village at the bottom of Mont Ventoux and they were there in abundance. It was July, so the summer light was quite harsh.

It may be harsh light (according to the comment above) but I feel it gives the image an almost magical, faery-like appearance! Lovely image, m'amie!!
