We were in the Lofoten Islands in February 2010; very cold, masses of snow, even on the beach. I'd never seen seaweed with snow on it!
Thanks to you all for commenting on my images, I enjoy reading your comments and doing the same for many of your images. I'm also really enjoying what everyone takes, such a variety!
Best wishes for a happy and safe Christmas,
Maggie

Looks very seasonal, Maggie, ribbons and bows with a dusting of snow.

I'm with Moira, there's a bird here.

I stood on a beach way north on Lewis and hail laid a sheet of ice pebbles across the sand and my jacket hood, it battered down for a few minutes and then swept on in land. It's spmething we don't expect and never forget.

Totally original. It makes a superb abstract and I'd never have guessed what it was if you hadn't said. I see a long-legged bird, but I'm glad it's seaweed. Smile

I agree with Chris that this makes a superb abstract. It's interesting how they have these sandy beaches in Northern Norway - where I come from in Bergen, it's all rocks and more rocks.

I do hope you both have been in Vesterålen and Lofoten during the spring or summer months, or even in the fall when the colours are very special.

Just up from my sick bed! I love this shot,Maggie - it's so unusual and at first, I thought it was the outline of a bird in flight! Great image!
