In common, it would appear, with quite a lot of site members I am a wee bit short of new material so I have had to do a bit of backward looking to come up with this little beast. They are however a bird I always like to see and I hope you like them too.
Very grateful thanks as always for the lovely response to the Lapwings. Thanks to you all. Most grateful also to Alan ( AlanColes ) for a recent UA to Portrait of a Lady.

I just said to Nigel Kiteley, I think all us wildlifers are doing the same as the moment mate, it's that God awful time of year when everything is either dead, asleep or just not playing ball.......Roll on the spring I say....Although I can feel a possible trip up to Slimbridge coming on this w/e as I'm getting a very twitchy right index finger at the moment, especially as I've a whole new load of kit to play with ![]()

Always good to have shot's in reserve Ron, I think we are all a bit desperate for new images, lovely detail and well done on the exp,
Geoff.
A cracking shot of this delightful little bird, I like the cheeky inquisitive pose
Looks like this had been taken on a windy day. Excellent detail in that fluffy plumage, great one again.

Fabulous shot with nice plumage detail. We have a pair just arrived in the garden ready for the spring.

Well, I'm not a photographer of birds (yet!), but even here the pickings would be lean. The only thing I have heard is the loud hooting of two owls at night. I also think they may have been on the roof, from the noise we heard there last night. We are now keeping the cat inside for the evening!
A lovely little capture here, with a very special and sweet pose, and your usual flare for capturing fine detail.
Anne
