The Goldfinch (carduelis carduelis)

A fine Goldy captured in my garden some time earlier in the year. In common, it would appear, with most people I dont seem to have much luck attracting then at present-- but we live in hope !!
Hope you will find something you like in this one.

My usual very appreciative thanks for all the generous c/c's for the long tongued heron. Particular thanks to Lillian for her UA.

Ron

Lovely image.
I usually have a garden full of Goldfinches, but, as Julia says, they disappear around now for the time being.

An extremely high quality macro photograph my friend, in which you have managed to capture the very best of this gorgeous Goldfinch, great colours, well defined detail, and perfectly posed ready for you to carry out your photographic magic.

Regards Nathan

It certainly is easier in the garden Ron rather than the chasing we did after them the other day at the field.

Super image Ron.
My usual garden flock of around 15 also seem to have dwindled to the odd 4-5 daily visitors. Seem to have a recent large influx of sparrows. though.
