OK, you were on a boat so I guess the really wonky horizon can be forgiven, but the fact that the centre of interest in the sky is totally white ruins the shot. There is no detail in that area so we can only surmise that it was a great sunset, 'cos we can't see it.
So, to make this better, you could have straightened the horizon in post-processing and you should have metered the exposure from the area right next to the sun, or where it went down. Admittedly the dynamic range of the sensor probably wouldn't have coped with this in one frame, so I guess a HDR would have been the best option. Set the camera to it's highest FPS and bracket at least 3 and probably 5 or 7 frames to get some detail in the sky and retain some in the sea. If a tripod or some sort of rest was available it would help, unless the exposures were long and the ship was rolling.
You don't mention the EXIF data (f-stop, shutter speed & ISO settings) which would have been helpful.
