I'm new to close-ups but couldn't resist this back-lit beauty.

Love the intricate details od the inside of the rose and how the white blends with the red in a nice complement it shows in detail the flower cutting out the rest of the plant giving enphasis to its structure and beauty well done indeed im impressed and give full marks for close up and attention to detail
You done a great job Andrea
Macro flowers are something I enjoy a great deal but the lighting on this is superb. Full marks..11 out of 10![]()
I have to say too that your "portrait" on your portfolio page shows great individuality and I admire that, more than any of your others in fact. It's that "different" approach, which makes a good pic shine out from the rest
You have an artistic ability which I admire...wish I had it, just the occasional flash of inspiration with me(g)
Thanks Leo! I think it's the colour and lighting that 'make' this picture, not any special skill of mine, but it is a favourite image.
As for the 'portrait', it was an impulse shot taken on holiday this year when I spotted my reflection in the car mirror. As I'm far more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, it suits me! ![]()
Love the comp and te colours, it all works well for me, click (*:*)
