A male banded demoiselle damselfly I spotted on some vegetation beside the River Severn at Tewkesbury back in mid June.

Great image Ed. Strangely the one and only time I caught a shot of one of these it was on the riverbank at Warwick Castle on the Avon in your part of the country, but it was of appalling quality! Isn't the IXUS great for close ups like this?

The Ixus is even better than the Powershot A400 which i had before, the detail and clarity it captures constantly amazes me and it is so handy to carry around as it fits in a pocket easily
