A belted galloway cow taken last week at Crickley Hill Country Park in Gloucestershire. These animals are on the hill as part of the GAP (Grazing animals project) between the National Trust and Gloucestershire County Council who own and manage the site.

There is a small herd of these near Pt Judith, RI and, I believe, another out on Block Island--part of a preservation of breed project-- interesting to see them grazing in the fields!

There's an entire filed of them not many miles from here. Aren't they the most wonderful looking cattle? Couldn't make up that great white belt around their middle. Love the way she's looking at you and your camera with such interest, so typical of nosey cattle.
