I guess that this is not every bodys type. Took the picture of the water running over the sluice gate to get the water pattern and the rusty ring

I really like the idea here & the colours are great.
For me though, the ring is just to central and removes some of the excitement of the composition. Personally I would crop a little way to the right of the ring and rotate the whole thing 90 degrees clockwise.
Just an idea.
