Keith, thanks for taking the time to evaluate my picture, looking at the we exif data I have supplied and bearing in mind the flash was on its lowest setting and zoomed in to its maximum what would you suggest I do with my exposure settings, I have an original raw file too do you have any thoughts on what I could do with that.

Phil, thank you for taking the time to produce a mod for me it was very much appreciated, same questions to you really but also what would you suggest is the best way to smooth the skin in Photoshop.

Thanks bren, I think you could be right about the yellow cast, I will do some work on it, also will try a crop too as you have suggested rt hanks again, its funny but when you get good critique like yours you see the opportunity to make it better immediately, just wish I saw it before. Thanks Guys I have a couple of other shots which I will upload, this was my first attempt at this and I take your point about shooting near the food not at it, there was a tree that they perched in near the food so I will shoot that next time, i suppose i was being a little lazy and it was easier to shoot them at the food as less movement on my point kept them confident.

thanks, yeh it took a while and i nearly didnt try at all got a little put off with the tutorials all being for off camera flash set ups which i have yet to get the equipment for, mounted my flash on the hot shoe and had a blast anyway, it is not in the same league as some of the shots i was trying to mimic but i was quite happy with it. thanks again

Thank you very much Nathan, this was only my second year of going but I took my father in law who goes every year and can even remember the first meeting they held there which he attended, unfortunately for the gentleman in this particular image this was just prior to him rolling the car into the hedge right in front of our position, I am pleased to report he was not injured and after the marshalls turned the car up the right way he was able to drive it back to the paddock. Thanks again for you comment it is very much appreciated.
