I'm blown away by this shot...the composition is excellent, and the colours are amazing! The best colour rendition of any blue flower photo I've seen to date...

Lovely shot, I like the off-centre composition and relaxed mood. May be leaning to the left slightly, but so 'of the moment' I think you've got away with it! ( *click* )

Hi Sahyadri,

Your portfolio is coming along nicely, if I may say so.

Typically, it would be prefereable to have the subject moving into the frame, rather than out of it as you say. Rules are there to be broken though and a more 'unsettling' composition can be used to great effect. In this case though, I wonder whether cropping off the right 50% would create a more pleasing result, maybe inverting the image as well? This is very subjective of course so opinions will vary.

The key to black and white is to think in black and white when you take the shot... but based on this excellent capture you appeared to have grasped that already. Great shot (with or without cropping) so good work! ( *click* )

Best regards,

Great composition *click*! Lends itself to a replacement sky maybe...

Chaffinch by Tricia

I think Pogs is probably right, but this shot has a lovely 3D quality to it that makes it quite enchanting (*click*).

Nice shot (*click*) and thanks for your comment. I was a guest of Crescent Suzuki that day which was handy 'cos it rained so hard as I remember! Keep up the good work!!

Hi! Like the border effect, works really well with this photograph. If I was to be critical, I'd say it's a shame Smokey's tail wasn't inside the border... but that's just my humble opinion of course! All the best.

Hi! One of my favourite cars, and I like the striking effect from your cropping.
