As well as chocolate, beer and photography (gave up the ciggies 3 years ago), I have realised I am addicted to watching football on the telly, more specifically the Euro 2008 competition where there is no home nation team presence.

I love football, always have, doesn't mean I don't like rugby, in fact I am a Saracens fan and quite enjoy going to watch live games.

I follow several club teams from the lowly Hemel Hempstead, through Stevenage Borough, onto Southend United, finishing with the mighty Manchester United - Well what did you expect, I grew up just north of the M25, of course I'm going to be a United supporter Smile.
Go and watch the smaller teams a couple of times a year at the most. Last time I saw United live woul be at least 10 years ago - can't justify the expense anymore especially when I can enjoy the atmosphere down the pub andget a better view of the game.

I didn't think the Euro's this year would be that good, not because England were not there, I just didn't think I would watch many games.

As it turns out I've only missed one game and the last two evening with no football on have been terrible. Back to watching normal crappy television, or turning the damned thing off and finding something better to do. We don't have sky, only freeview (or poor mans telly as my mates call it), I think that is more than enough channels for a decent programme to be on. Apparently not, but I'm not going to spend money to get even more channels with nothing on! When I lived in California I had over 250 channels - could I find anything to watch? Apart from English football and the Simpsons, not much.

Anyway, good times are restored again tonight, with the first of the semi finals. Unfortunately I think Germany will win easily, so I don't think it will be the best game.

It all finishes this weekend but at least Wimbledon gets interesting next week. Watching the world ranked number 1, beating the world ranked 462nd doesn't make great tennis as far as I'm concerned. Lets have Nadal beat Murray in the Semi's then beat Federer in the Final.......

Then its the Olympics! And then the football season starts in 6 weeks Smile

Bathroom? Yeah did a litltle last night. Cut a section out of the ceiling around the soil stack (do I have the only house where the soil stack runs down the inside of the house?). Looking at cutting the old Iron pipe and replacing the section in the bathroom with a plastic. Also managed to get a plumber round last night to give me some further ideas Smile

Missus has just phoned me to tell me that her mum has got us a Wii fit today! Something else to bore the pants off you as I start the great fitness campaign and keep you informed of the great weight loss acheivements Wink

Oh well better do some work now I suppose.

With you on the football, cant normally watch it on tv as it bores me rigid but the euros have been good fun.

Still prefer the rugby though!
