148 (189)Imagine if you will, a small cell with a bath and a toilet in it. Put two windows in this cell, but only have the top quarters of these windows openable.
Now put two people in this small environment with a couple of hundred ceramic tiles. Ensure that out of the first 40 tiles to go up, 20 of them need to be cut. Not all with straight edges, that will be too easy. Ensure some of them require cutting with a tile saw to fit around pipes etc.
Finally set the outside temperature to 30°C, ensuring the inside temperature is at least 50°C.
Then ensure the neighbours kids have their paddling pool out in the garden, everyone else is having BBQs, their is a steam fayre up the road with helicopter flights (don't think it was a steam helicopter) going over the house every 15 minutes.
That was my weekend ![]()
Did I get all the tiling done? No, about 1/3rd of it done, but most of the difficult stuff.
Oh well, at least it will be really hot when I get home tonight and carry on with the tiling.
Supposed to be playing cricket tomorrow evening, bet it rains - then I'll have to do some more work in the bathroom......
