Did you get into the henge? It is a stunning location at the moment (or was with the snow!)

Like your monotone approach gets the bleakness beautifully. (and no high vis jackets! Bonus.)

No - the car park was closed and the yellow jackets were around.
All pictures taken from the road.

I was supposed to be in a meeting in Boscombe Down, Amesbury - so the visit to the henge was a bit rushed Wink

Lovely shot. Can I detect a subtle green colour on the stones (or is it my rubbish works monitor)? I like the way you have the stones sitting in the landscape.

I prefer your previous upload only becuase it makes more of the shape and texture of the stones.

Thanks for the comments - yes there are hints of green on the stones - this is the full colour shot ! - The previous upload was converted to black and white.
