I like the black and white effect but I am finding the lighthouse a little too central.

I like the mono-tone colouring. A cold feeling but would still want to walk and explore this place

agree with mr lewis re the position of the lighthouse but great toning, nice work

thanks for the comments.

Actually 'Sheenanigans' it was taken in March and it was absolutly freezing! Colour toning can give a very different mood though, if you look at this image: Leaning lighthouse, it has a warmer feel to it even though it was taken only minutes after this image.

nice light and comp

Love the sky in this - not sure if you've done something to it or not. If you have - it works. If not my advice is take the credit anyway! Good shot. Nick.

Excellent composition and perspective. How did you achieve the effect in the sky? Smile

thanks for all the comment, the whole image is mage up from using levels layers in ps. By 'painting' black onto the mask, you can mask out that levels settings e.g. to change the contrast in the foreground, make a new levels layer then with that layer active, paint out the sky section with black. This way if you make a mistake, just change to white and paint the effect back in!

Stunning shot, deserves more praise. Love everything about it. The sand, lighthouse, sky. Nice tones, very moody.
