This is Happisburgh Lighthouse in Norfolk (pronounced Hazebru) and as you can imagine it is something of a landmark from the land as well as the sea it protects. The village is suffering from coastal erosion which has attracted a lot of attention in the media but I think the lighthouse will be around for a long time yet. I took this shot between rain showers yesterday afternoon and maybe I could have hung on for a few minutes for a darker sky but I had no intention of getting drowned with my new camera.
