The sun sets behind Knowlton Church, with glorious sunshine. Just before it got fully dark we walked into the building itself, a little erie, made more so as just on entering the church bats decided to leave, a wonderful experience.
Isn't life odd, when you expect a picture to bomb it does well, when you really like a picture, and expect it to do well, it flops. Not quite sure why these Knowlton pictures haven't gone down too well, but hey ho, such is life.
Thank you to all those that clicked, commented and voted on my previous uploads, I really appreciate it.
This is one of those marmite shots I suspect. Its a blended image of two bracketed exposures to balance foreground and sky, I then processed it in Colour Efex Pro and this is the result. I'm really enjoying processing these images from Knowlton, more to come, I'm afraid!

A real beauty, Mark, you've brought out some excellent colour with the processing. And I actually like the telephone wires in the composition which must be a first for me. 15mm - a touch of vertical distortion on the tower maybe.

Mark, stunning sunset with lovely tones and detail, well worth waiting the rain out.......
Paul.
A wonderful painted sky, glorious colours and a completely different atmosphere
An excellent shot Mark, great sky detail and exposure. I would like to see a similar shot to this taken from a little nearer the church, just to give it more prominence.
Cheers
Andy
