Taken this morning on a visit to the Blackstone Nature Reserve near Bewdley in Worcestershire. Its without doubt an incredible sight and well worth the time and effort. With poppies covering such a large area its quite hard to find an angle that hasn't been done to death. The view I have put up is toward the Severn Valley Railway Line. It has lost some detail in getting ready for the web but its a small price to pay. I met some lovely people while there and especially the young lady from Coventry (her name I forgot to ask) who had made a special visit. As always regards to all.

Very cool. Have you tried dodging the background to give it more definition? Also, I love the red at the bottom with the title. I might drop the red at the top though. I don't think it adds much.
Best, Bill

The Poppy field is glorious. Think it speaks for itself and that the red, top and bottom are just too much for my taste, but a cracking shot anyway.

How gorgeous Gerry. I love the colour red anyway so this has won my heart over. A very different idea you had here, I like it very much and certainly invites you in.

Ann

Wow, Gerry I missed this one somehow, its making me think of warm summer days now... its beautiful, reminds me of an impressionist painting, love the soft gentleness to it.

Hope you had a good xmas.

I like this a lot - especially your choice of composition. It's a difficult image to pull off with all the different lighting conditions. I'd be tempted to do a multi-exposure HDR type image to bring ou the detail in the stonework. A beautiful image.
