Taken today at the EPZ meet at Padley Gorge. I rather liked the way the tree seemed to act like a fence. Behind the leaves and branches are the swollen waters of the gorge, I don't think I have seen Padley with so much water!
Absolutely cracking shot - love it :o) Judi

Looks good to me and its nice to see something different.
Beautifully seen Martin and expertly taken. Fabulous DoF picks out the branch and leaves perfectly, and a sublime amount of movement on selective leaves.
All the very best mate!!
Very nice. Well done.
Very imaginative and so well done.
Different from the norm and will take some beating.
Beautiful autumn colours,great shot.
Beauty in simplicity, lovely image.
Speedy work Martin. You take first prize by a whisker from Malcolm for first upload. Decent shot too.
Well composed/liked the way you have captured this.
Lovely muted colours, nice contrast between the sharp leaves and the smooth flowing water behind. Makes a very effective image.
Beautiful autumn colours,well captured
Truly superb Martin. Such wonderful Autumn colours. Well captured. Look forward to more.
Very well done and nicely presented..
Nice bit of light there on the leaves Martin, where did you get that from. NIce to see something totally different.
Simple yet very powerful image with the water behind. Like it Martin.
This was the first image I took here, right at the very bottom of the gorge. No light Malcolm, just different shades of colour on the leaves.
Many thanks all for looking in, appreciated.
Great title, superb photography. Nice camera work Martin.
Great shot can't fault it another RC to add to the collection, BTW fantastic PF
This, I presume is that little tree you found that you were laughing at after your first attempt. Glad you zoomed in, this is excellent and very original. No upload from me tonight, tomorrow pm I'm afraid ;-(
That's very different and like the way the brown of the leves complement the brown of the water.
Couldn't get to the Padley meet this morning, but didn;t realise there was an earlier one, as went out by myself. Thought about going to Curbar too!!.
All the best for 2007 Martin.
Different and such good colour,
Absolutely wonderful.... Click!!!!!! Happy New Year. Ovy
This is just beautiful; the sharpness of the foreground with the rushing water behind makes it a bit special.

Great Location a fave of mine, and great exposure too, there is so liitle movement in the branches yet the background flow of water is captured so well. Very well done.

Amazing use of the tree and the background. Well thought out photo, and perfectly captured!
Beautiful work, Martain! Well deserved HC!!
Just back in from Padley myself, Martin and I sat looking at this tree...not as much room down by in that gulley at the moment.
Crackin' image - and good to see a non rock/water shot
Like the colours here martin, well spotted as normal you have produced a good capture. - graham ( happy new year)
Brilliant Martin - a different kind of Padley composition which is great to see from a meet...
All been said, very well shot, and Happy New Year Martin, Cheers Chris
A beauty. Well spotted. Love the almost lattice work feel of the tree against that lovely soft background.
Superb, Martin. It's the use of observation, composition and DOF that really impresses. This is the kind of shot I want to take this year - this puts a twist on the bog standard EPZ landscapes that litter this site. This is inspiring stuff.
All the best for 2007, Martin.

A couple of people were talking about this on the meet yesterday morning, and now I can see why.

I am glad you directed me to this Martin. I remembered it straight away and I was surprised to see I had not voted on it after all this time. I have rectified my oversight
