About Me
Hi
I have always enjoyed taking pics and stuff from an early age. Just poitning and shooting really with no thought to photography at all what-so-ever. I kept snapping away and then the penhy dropped. There is so much more to taking pictures than taking pictures. You can stir emotions and invoke feelings with a single picture.
So armed with an Olympus OM-10 and my Fuji 4900z off I went into the world.
Joining this site has given me focus (no pun intended) and with a wealth of knowledge and tips to be gained from all the photographers you really cant go wrong. .
In fact ever since joining this web site I have had a slight headache and i have just realised why. Looking at other peoples work and learning from your comments has opened my eyes. I mean I used to walk down the road, yep there's an old rusty door, newspaper shop, bus stop.
Now after absorbing this sites creative talent, I walk down the same road and see the rusty door, I look at tone and texture, will it be good in B&W and my brain is taking in 10 times more information and my head hurts. I sometimes dont even make it as far as the newspaper shop and you can just forget the bus stop - unless its been vandalised and the broken glass has made an interesting pattern. Here I go again, someone heellllpppp meeeeee.
Good luck to you all.
Regards
Martin
