The familiar view from the bay called Port na Cullaidh - probably meaning "The bay that eats tripod feet".
Glorious Ian. Another one for my shortlist!!
A beautiful image to chill out to Ian...wonderful viewing...
One for my shortlis too . Love it and would love to go here to get something close to this....Phil
Beautiful image, great capture
Just simply a super image...

Super detail mate, its awesome.
Simply stunning Ian. Very special conditions taken full advantage of.
Unfortunately I gave my award to Miss Barclay yesterday, so you will have to make do with a virtual award!
A beautiful shot
Many thanks, Ian, Jamie, Phil and Mary.
And, Phil, many thanks for the VA!
Superb image captured so well thanks for sharing Colin
Certainly very beautiful, love the soft colours and effect on the water!
Stunning ethreal quality to this.Love it!
Very fine image Ian.
Super seascape, lovely colours.
Awesome image ian - I was there a couple of weeks ago and it was nice but nothing like this.
An out and out classic Ian!!!!
this is SO good
A great shot in which the long exposure suits the sea and the sky!. Top marks.
One of those locations you just never get tired of seeing pictures from.
very nice processing, what noise reduction software have you used as I'm trying to find a good one at the mo?
crickey where do i start on this one..... the atmosphere captured is simply exquisite, the long shutter creating the milky effect and the glistening foreground rocks are beautiful. Composition works nicely, stepping on the rocks through to distance right peak on the third.
The righthand side of the image does finish rather suddenly and doesn't flow as well as the left hand side, but thats being rather picky for what is a wonderful image, and in my opinion one of your best.
Stunning photography Ian.
Cracking ! Ian. Your own style shining through. Ron.
As good as it gets at Elgol, excellent image worth the loss of a tripod end.
Superb work Ian, your deep images are quite spectacular at times, this one is gorgeous with the pink light and lovely wave motion.
Fantastic capture Ian.
Thanks, everyone, for your fantastic comments.
And many thanks, Dougie, for your UA. It means a great deal to me. You've lifted the gloom on this dark and wet Friday 13th!

Angie, I tend to use Noise Ninja, but for this long exposure PS's own noise reduction filter didn't seem as unsubtle as it normally is. I applied the PS noise reduction to a layer and then erased the reduction from the foreground rocks and mountains.
Kevin, Terrific comment re the right hand side - it was something that niggled me at the time. In retrospect it would have made more sense to introduce a little more beach into the composition to remove that congested "going nowhere" feel. Something to bear in mind for the next visit!
Wonderful image indeed - superb foreground detail and tonal quality !
words are not enough to express how good this is Ian, utterly breathtaking
Bit special this Ian.
wow stunning image.Dave
Stunning shot throughout.
A very special image Ian, as good as I've seen from Elgol. Another possible venue for the wee hamburger stall
Utterly wonderful Ian, one I wish I had taken!

Now there's an idea, Paul. You could make a comfortable living just feeding photographers!
Martin, Thank you so much for your UA - it means so much.
Very nice Ian.
Superb work, love the long exposure what more can I say but must view the rest of your images.
Kind Regards Willie
an ageless scene captured masterfully Ian
One of your best Ian.
Phil, Brian, Willie and Chris - thank you!
Phil, I'm bowled over by your UA - many thanks.
Wow! This is outstanding, Ian, and every inch a delight to view. There are so many elements to this fine composition that make this one a real stunner and I love them all. I especially admire how you used the heavy cloud cover to your advantage with those distant mountains but yet there is that shaft of light reflecting on the surface of the water. I'm just sorry that I don't have a e2 membership because I can't give this my award.
Eric, Your fantastic comments are an award in themselves! Thank you so much. Best wishes. Ian
wow looks like I was late for the party here! Wonderful work indeed!!
Has Everything the eyes could want, super

This is certainly one of the finest images I have seen from this location.
