Some would argue that this picture would look better if the corners of the eye weren't cropped out, but personally i think the pupil and the blue of the eye is the main focus, so i like it!

The iris is a gorgeous colour, with lovely details. You've caught it well (though you do need to be careful using flash near eyes!).
If you like it, then it's perfect - personally I would just tweak it a little in post processing. For instance there are a few flecks of mascara which could be removed and I would gently use a 'sharpen' tool, just to bring out the best of the iris colours and details.
I'm not sure which camera you used, but I think the date needs adjusting! ![]()
