Finally had power restored tonight after having no power since 6:00am on Tuesday morning. Just as well I had placed this candle stick in a glass dish or the wax might have damaged the lovely wooden mantlepiece. WE had so much fun playing cards by candlelight with our grandsons we hadn't noticed this one melting down.
Hope all of you survived the storms without too much damage.
Regards Mary

Glad to hear your power has finally been restored, Mary, what a relief Smile. I trust you will be getting compensation from the Electricity Board Wink. This is a beautiful still life, perfectly captured. Carol

This reminds me of my grandmothers house in the montains of South Portugal. There was no electricity there, so it was candles, and parafine oil lamps all the time. Glad you have your light back but this is a very nice image. IB
