The iron footbridge looking towards the Packet House on the Bridgewater canal at Worsley in Greater Manchester. The distinctive orange colour of the water is not from pollution, but is caused by iron salts in the local rock, leached out by the network of underground canals which linked the collieries to the canal.

A fine set of shots from this canal side spot.......I think another member had images from here just a few days back. I like the lead in under the bridge in V 1 but my favourite is probably V 2.

I love canal images and took quite a few myself while we were visiting last year. These are more special with the lovely old buildings to view as well.
V2 is my favorite. Nicely compose………Jocelia…….

Colourful water, even I like v2 the most. Probably thanks to the watercolours matchin the buildings
