Tis a dangerous game being a Housefly and deciding to fly into my house 
And no this one didn't go back to the wild alive, pesky little critters that they are.....
Been out all day at various hospital appointments, nothing for anyone to get worried over, just my shrink ensuring that all the pills are still working as they should be 
Anyhow, I'm absolutely knackered now and need something to eat and drink, so hopefully I catch up with everyone soon..

Great write up ... i never look at them that close before they get a 2-d transformation
Never wanted to get this close either, but now that Ade has done the impossible, hey, he's not so bad. A few more spikes than we care for, yet all those eyes in a smooth globe look smooth. That miner's lamp between the antennae seems handy. Give him a big wet kiss on the eyeballs for me and let him get back to the important dirty work fate has assigned him to. TG

Phenomenal detail in this outstanding close up Ade, not surprised to see the clicks fly in for this one. I take it this one got swatted after being snapped, some of those togs on Collard Hill yesterday that incurred your wrath were lucky that they did not befall the same fate!

Absolutely incredible. I have never seen such detail in a macro and I am impressed with this.
