This is so lovely Iain, great work as always. My only tiny gripe is the excess of the lip gloss above her top lip Smile

thats the flash that has caught the top of her lip as it was high up above her Smile

a cross cultural.. her looks a little surprise + curiosity.. quite close to what one of our own women would have produced in natural circumstances.. I love it.. what great choice of B&W garment.. and the gloss on the lips and eyes might be coming through a window no big deal.

Great shot - I am sure she was very pleased with this photo.

I really like the contrast between the textured headscarf and the softer feel of her face/skin - they compliment each other really nicely. I also like how the lighting has darkened the left side of the scarf and really focuses the viewers the eye on her face - very clever.

I do agree with some of the discussion on the lip. I personally would like to see a version without the lip accentuated with the light to compare. It isn't a big deal but for me I think the lip left as normal would look better (but I am a mere amateur so I am probably wrong!!).

Deserves the award and will go in my favourites.

regards,

Matt Grin

I do like this image,

The eye and the textured headscarf are simply stunning! the only thing i don't like about this image is the flat and plastic loookig skin tone. It looks slightly over photoshopped for me!

The lighting is bang on with good highlights and shadows, good shot and well framed

Kind Regards
Lawrence Wink
