One from an earlier session with my work colleague,Megan. This one has been sitting on my HD for a while, finally got round to trying out a different method of processing.
I went for a slightly desaturated look, not sure if I have gone far enough tbh as I have tried to retain her skin tones without going totally mono.
I like the look on her face & the eye contact.
Lit by one softbox & a reflector opposite.
Thanks for taking the time to look/comment.

Thanks all.
Lol Walter, don't worry, your nit picking means you are actually looking at all of the image...I see where you mean,it is actually on the original Raw file too,so must be something to do with her neck & the reflector, had a go at filling it in but it looked really wrong,no textures used either so not a bit I have 'missed'...hey ho ![]()

Ha....sussed it Walter...there is a gap in her hair which is letting the light in from the reflector, her hair is casting a fairly strong shadow down the side of her face just in front of her ear,so it looks a little odd.I looked one one of the images a couple of frames after this one....I could see the 'gap' quite clearly.
Janet it is a wonderful image. I personally think you have gone far enough with the desaturation, giving the perfect "English Rose" complexion and the wonderful portrayal of her red hair. A truly lovely portrait of fabulous quality!
I have to be honest and say that until Walter pointed it out I hadn't noticed the light as the overall image is so good.
Absolutely lovely portrait. Obviously, the desaturated look works quite well at this intensity. The skin is lovely and the pearls stand out to give the portrait's title. The triangle of light below the model's right ear, as pointed out by Walter, is indeed distracting, once you detect it. It can be very slightly toned down, perhaps. Overall then, kudos, love it. ![]()
Absolutely beautiful Dave. The soft high key processing is superb.

Lovely photo - it was the featured one for me today on the epZ side panel.
