Another shot from a recent trip to Wales in the Brecon Beacons. This waterfall is Sgwyd yr Pannwr.
beautiful capture, one fall i havn't seen yet.
Excellent use of the log for the foreground.A better one than yesterday's and that was good. The sky hasn't much detail but the that doesn't take your eye from the rest of the image.Well taken.
Thanks Tom, To get the log in this composition I had to wade out into the river, luckily it wasn't too slippery, it's always a bit worrying when carrying your pride and joy into something that could kill it with one slip....
Very nice photo.
Just superb !!!!
Andy, Andy. Now you"ve done it. Not only do you find one of tbe hidden gems of Pontneddfechan waterfall country but you also take one of the finest images of it I've ever seen. Superb comp and exposure. No UA available so accept a virtual one from me!
Thanks guys, Alun thats high praise indeed ! thanks
I thought the tree is a reminder of the power of the water, the trunk is about 30 feet long and has been snapped and tossed about like a twig. I certainly wouldn't want to be around here when the river is in spate ...
Superb tones, especially the trees on the far bank, and a very beautiful result.
Great perspective and low pov
Beautiful indeed - well taken
Cracking shot Andy, looks a great spot.
