Many thanks for the votes and comments on the previously uploaded Common Blue, all are very much appreciated.

Here's a Common Blue Damselfly, captured doing a spot of preening early one morning in May. Best viewed large if time allows.

Your images show structures in these insects which I for one could never see 'in life' so I find them fascinating. The detail here is incredible and the 'pose' has allowed one to see how amazing the eye elements are. Great shot, Nigel.
