Today is Veterans Day here in the states.
This is a photo I took of one of our Quilts of Valor being presented to a young man who was blinded from a head injury. We made it from flannel with lots of textures so he could enjoy it through feel instead of sight.
We owe them so much.....

Very touching shot.

I used to be employed in a chairty which works with people who are deaf and blind and touch is an underrated sense.

A beautiful and very moving image, Joline, I'm sure the young guy was thrilled and honoured to receive the quilt. Carol

An apparently simple reportage that is actually hard-hitting. The young man's apparently jaunty demeanour belies his real condition.
Excellent.

Bill

Poignant in the extreme. We who have sight and all the other senses we so take for granted cannot begin to imagine the loss of a single one.

Regards.

A wonderful gesture to a young man who has lost a great gift.
As photographers we can sympathise even more.
