62% of all Great Lakes are iced over. One freighter is still stuck in ice with a full load of taconite. Icebreakers are underway to free the vessel. Hundreds of 'Old Squaw' ducks (forground) and Mergansers are surviving in the area, because Icebreakers keep the water open under the bridge.
